Thermomix Kitchen Appliance

Over the Christmas period 2020. I began searching for Kitchen Appliances.  Now I have a small kitchen with my trusted 20 year old Waring Blender and two hand whisks.  Unsure whether I should buy a Mixer or Bread Maker or Juicer or a combination, Thermomix popped up into my Google searches.

I was intrigued as I love to cook, needed more appliances, yet had never heard of Thermomix - a 12-in-1 kitchen appliance, time, energy and space saving.  It frees you up to do other things whilst your food is cooking.  Thermomix has so many functions, Stir, Mix, Emulsify, Chop, Blend, Grind, Cook, Heat, Steam, Weigh, Whip, Knead, once tried, you realise how invaluable it is to everyday cooking! So began my research.  The price, although expensive, still worked out cheaper than buying all the appliances I was needing, although with no-where to put them, I was going to have to choose only one!

Then something strange happened.  Simultaneously, someone local was advertising for Thermomix Advisers and on the main website, I had noticed a Work with us section, put the two and two together and decided to see if I could earn my own Thermomix FREE!

I took delivery of a loan machine mid February.  Although off to a slow start (my main business took priority), I've begun to use my Thermomix.  First I made my usual protein smoothies, then ventured into some standard practice recipes ~ Cheese Scones, Berry Foam and Red Pepper & Tomato Soup.  All good, getting to grips with the many functions yet step-by-step instructions to give me confidence to make Rye Bread.  I've NEVER made bread, but my parents did when we lived abroad; I've always wanted to try with the added incentive now that Rye is the only bread I can eat!  In my locality, Rye bread sells out quickly although everywhere sells it!

The recipe is Rye Bread with cranberries and pecans.  It's delicious and although this isn't a quick bread to make, I've already made it again and it will be a regular as it's so good!  I now have a recipe for a Rye/Spelt bread to make.

We have an online portal, Cookidoo, for recipes from every country (thousands), you can download them onto your Thermomix in order to cook your food to perfection. Cookidoo is pretty amazing as it's a portal like no other.  Apart from the obvious recipes, it's a blog and learning portal too.  You can save and create collections for your recipes, all linked to your Thermomix, bookmark your favourites, use filters for searches, such as, Category, Ingredients, Difficulty, Preparation Time, Language, Country or Region and more.  But if you want to be super organised, this is for you ... there is a 'My Week' tab to add recipes to a specific day to plan meals for your week/month; fabulous for working families.  This also links to a Shopping List enabling you to see the ingredients for a recipe and add ingredients you need and don't currently have.  This in turn can be linked to an online supermarket account you have showing you how much everything costs!  Ingenious!  The annual cost of Cookidoo is £40.  If you have a loan machine as an Advisor you have 3 months free and should you decide to buy a Thermomix, either outright or finance, you will have up to 7 months free.

Whether you are a seasoned cook, new to cooking, don't like to cook, haven't got much time, would prefer to cook quick simple nutritious meals rather than living off takeaways or ready meals full of salt, sugar and additives, Thermomix is for you!  (finance available, conditions apply).

Although I initially decided to become an Advisor for Thermomix, giving demonstrations to people wishing to purchase one, having long Covid has put that on hold as I cannot plan anything due to never knowing when I will be well/ill.  Long Covid is akin to ME; not conducive to consistency in my life, let alone work.  That being the case, I chose to buy my Thermomix outright, returning my loan appliance the same day my new one arrived.  I'm thrilled to bits as I've come to love my Thermomix, discovering daily all the things it can do, vital as I return to good health, requiring spending less time in the kitchen than normal.  Over the past two years since purchasing my Thermomix, I've gradually begun to use most functions available which is vast.  From making bread, scones, soups, smoothies, rice, boiling eggs, grinding coffee beans, chopping veg, mixing fudge, milling sugar for icing and steaming fish and veg, the options are vast.  It is a life-saver and has really come into its own for me personally as I recovered from long Covid and also spinal surgery and the recovery from that a year ago!  Grateful and pleased I made the decision to buy this versatile machine.
